| | Sheepdip1234 is right; at that time, classical releases on London were reserved for the Americas and Far East, where MCA Records had the rights to the Decca name; adverts for London in the US Schwann catalogue in the 1980s highlighted the fact that the records were made in the Netherlands. Releases for UK, Europe and the rest of the world were on Decca, and most likely one pressing from the Netherlands would have been used for all those territories, Decca's UK factory at New Malden having closed shortly after the PolyGram takeover. |
