| PhilMH ● 6th Dec 2016 | This London label release would have been for the USA, due to Decca's inability to use their own name in that country then (MCA owned it, until their purchase of PolyGram allowed the Decca name to be used worldwide). The UK release would have been this one - and why isn't there a "link releases" option here? | |

The video does not name the conductor but it suggests at Britten The Guide was first recorded by the LSO under Malcolm Sargent for the film “Instruments of the Orchestra” in 1946. They have recorded it also under Andrew Davis (1975), André Previn (1973), Charles Mackerras (1977) | |
