The original album was a box set 375 022 XNU. Other records from this serie are from 1968 (even a Dutch release of the Phase 4 Stereo!), so I presume 1968 is the year of this release.
The 6745 004 album is a re-issue of this box set in a cheaper gate-folded sleeve; as PhilMH mentioned issued somewhere in the early seventies.
It is much easier to date the recording dates for the tracks.
For example, from Wikipedia we can see that the first few tracks date from 1946 (Rodelinda) to 1950
Hi keebrev, this might be a 1986 pressing, but the release date to be used here (unlike Discogs) is the date that the album was first released with this catalogue number. Having had a look in Discogs at some other Decca Netherlands releases in this catalogue number series, they seem to be early-to-mid 1970s.
The year 1986 is printed on the inner sleeve.
Philips used these labels for every company they issued in the Netherlands. All in Europe? I don't believe so. In Germany Decca was represented by TELefunkenDECca (Teldec).
Yes, Philips distributed Decca in the Netherlands (and elsewhere in Europe?) for many years before PolyGram (part-owned by Philips) bought Decca outright in January 1980.
Is 1986 really the correct year for this? As well as Decca changing to the new logo and label design in 1980, all the PolyGram labels including Decca changed to the new numbering system (4xx xxx-1 for classical LPs) in 1983.
