Gill Sans SUBS 27th Dec 2020		This record was the surprise runaway hit following its promotion in the UK on Classic FM. It has sold over a million copies and "probably counts as the best selling contemporary classical record of all time" Górecki may have been influenced to write it in memory of the Holocaust but he refused to make a direct connection, calling it simply a Symphony of Sorrowful Songs, about three mothers who have lost their child. It is sung in Polish.
