Magic Marmalade 26th May 2017		Had a look at those Phil, and I'm fairly certain the red labels there with the thinner rim around the shaded dog - with gold text are earlier - coming, as they do in a scalloped flip-back sleeve. ...The other red ones (bold white text) were what they switched the older ones to, to match stereo issue labels once they'd gone from the white / golds, so the mono and stereos were uniform in design. These later ones would have been issued in non-scalloped, flip-back sleeves. The older labels are what HMV later emulated in the "retro" design... trying to evoke that era for their albums in the 70s - quadrophonics etc.



PhilMH 26th May 2017		Discogs has two mono copies of this, with different labels, and the year entered as 1959, which appears to be the year applicable to the stereo issue. I have no idea which of the two labels came first.
