Had a look at those Phil, and I'm fairly certain the red labels there with the thinner rim around the shaded dog - with gold text are earlier - coming, as they do in a scalloped flip-back sleeve.
...The other red ones (bold white text) were what they switched the older ones to, to match stereo issue labels once they'd gone from the white / golds, so the mono and stereos were uniform in design.
These later ones would have been issued in non-scalloped, flip-back sleeves.
The older labels are what HMV later emulated in the "retro" design... trying to evoke that era for their albums in the 70s - quadrophonics etc.
Discogs has two mono copies of this, with different labels, and the year entered as 1959, which appears to be the year applicable to the stereo issue. I have no idea which of the two labels came first.
