Another little habit I've picked up recently is grabbing Quadraphonic (Quadrophonic, if you prefer that spelling :), I don't know why, I just do!
My copy of this also has the added feature of having the later "Retro" labels, which allude to the Red labels with semi-circular "nipper" logo with the bold white text "His Master's Voice" around the edge, by having the semi circular nipper logo, but have this shaded area occupying the whole upper section of the label - with no thick red edge for the text...
... here the text is gold, and of a more "traditional" font, and is inside the shaded logo area, just above nipper and the gramophone.
Having moseyed about on the net, I find it did have the earlier "Postage stamp" logo labels originally, and they may be preferable to copies which have the labels mine have, on the basis that my copy is on very floppy, thin vinyl... whereas the postage stamp vinyls are usually a better grade or quality, as you'd normally associate with H.M.Vs.
And I would have refused it, but it was very cheap, had an interesting label, featured Itzhak Perlman playing the Four Seasons, and was a Quadrophonic ASD.... I am too weak to resist such a bonanza, even with a thin vinyl (looks a good press on it though - sharp cut, if you see what I mean)
But be on the safe side, and opt for the postage stamp ones if the option is there.
