I wonder most what the Berliner Philharmoniker are doing here. The orchestra is the Concergebouw Orchestra! If you look too close to something, you’re losing the view……
Hi, I have a couple of early CDs that make use of sub-track indices. On the EMI discs such as this one, the tracks are designated by a number in a square (note the timings to the far right). The indices are designated by (IN:DEX) #, followed by timings indented to the left of the track timings. Most modern audio compact disc players do not display an index counter, and usage of the index feature was largely abandoned by the 1990s.
I have posted images from what I believe is an early edition of this CD, in which the booklet & inlay list 3 tracks, divided with index marks. However the disc itself plays 6 separate tracks.
