 A fine recording by the all-male choir, who are shown to their best on the three unaccompanied pieces, the Byrd, the Vaughan Williams, and the Tallis with its fine example of the English Cadence.

The Walker organ sounds in places, very familiar, there being other Walker instruments in my district.

This is currently the latest Priory release, and the only one bearing the PRAB catalogue number, which may link with the Alpha Collection. Incidentally, it was shrink-wrapped in polythene rather than the usual crisp film with draw-tape.
