Gill Sans SUBS 6th Feb 2023		See PRCD 701 for an introduction to the Complete New English Hymnal Series. Points to note on this volume: The treble solo starting "Once In Royal " is by Sophie Albinson Hymn 484 is sung to the given tune "Somerstown", though it is more familar when sung to the tune "Aurelia" which is the given tune for hymn 167 "The Son of consolation". The descant is written by David Bullen. The solo on "Come, Holy Ghost" is taken by Benjamin Smyth. Mark Laflin is the organist. Hymn 166 is sung to the alternative tune "Oriel", the given tune for "To the Name that Brings Salvation" In hymn 159 the option is used to insert another hymn, 278 "Christ Be With Me", before reverting to the last verse of 159. The tune of "Christ Be With Me" is "Gartan", attributed to J. Mease of Donegal, and is sung unaccompanied. The final verse of St. Patrick's Breastplate is sung with a descant written by director Gavin Plumley Gabriel's Message is also sung U/C.
