YankeeDisc SUBS 14th Apr 2016		I have a UK issue DVD of this movie, from I'm guessing about 1999. I'll have to post it sometime, but I am sure it has different artwork on the front of the package.



GEMSMFAN 6th Jul 2015		1997 looks to be correct... the insert was added to later copies.. my copy doesn't have it. Makes you kind of wonder why 1997, as it has no signifigance as a milestone year to the film. I imagine that was the first year of a DVD pressing? The 1994 version probably was released on VHS and laserdisc.



vidman45 8th May 2015		Added disc scans for the double-sided DVD. Side A shows 1994 copyright date, whatever that means. My copy has the fold-out card cover on the plastic snap-close tray. The enclosed booklet is a 20 page catalog of WB DVD's. Buy 5, get one free by mail promo. Nothing relating to "Woodstock". To be honest, I have never watched or listened to this DVD completely. I only bought it to see the stoned hippies. LOL



Graham7 8th May 2015		I used to have a UK version, which was a digipack type with a fold out card cover attached to a plastic tray, but gave it away when I got a 4 disc version (2009), which I'll look at adding. If your disc is a double sider it may be from 1997, or do we go with the insert date of 2000? Scans of disc and insert would be nice. Can you describe the packaging? Is it a rigid clear CD style case, or as I described?



vidman45 8th May 2015		Graham7, Thanks for catching my error. I see what you are saying. I read the Wikipedia article on Subsequent Editions, and this looks like the 225 minute, (1994) 25th Anniversary Director's Cut edition, but they failed to tell what media formats it was released on, and when. WIKI also discussed the 40th Anniversary DVD/Blu Ray edition from 2009, but I am sure that I did not buy this that late. I got out my magnifying glass and took another look at the copyright notices fine print at the bottom of the back cover. At the end of the 2nd line, "Package artwork, Design & Summary c.1997". That would not have appeared there on releases before 1997. There is a booklet inside dated 2000, for a free DVD by mail, Offer expired 31 Mar 2001, if that is any help.



Graham7 8th May 2015		Can't see a date on packaging, but it must be 1997 or later. Date removed for now, it's not 1994.
