Paramount DVD Widescreen Collection.
Per Wiki, the 1997 film was issued on VHS home tapes in 1998. This appears to be the first DVD release, issued only on a single disc in wide screen format on 31 Aug 1999. Running time 194 minutes. It contains a theatrical trailer, but no other special features. Later DVD releases had more special features and more discs.

Trainman 18th Jul 2015		I'm still not sure I understand, we do have multiple releases, but they are still all the same film, so whether they are the original VHS, the original DVD or some of the later DVD's, shouldn't the film title be the same for all of them? On other words, shouldn't the VHS listings then also be changed to "Titanic [1997] if that's the convention we're going to use for this film? On the other hand by adding the [1997] to these listings prevents them from linking back to the master listing in Cinema world
vidman45 17th Jul 2015		Trainman, This becomes very complex, but we are only dealing here with the "1997" version of the Titanic movie. Wikipedia explains it better than I could: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanic_(1997_film) Scroll way down to the HOME MEDIA article. If there are some DVD versions here of the 1997 movie that are not labeled "Titanic {1997}", they need to have their titles edited by a moderator.
Trainman 17th Jul 2015		was the DVD actually released in 1997? The two entries for the US and UK VHS tape releases don't link, because they were both entered just as "Titanic" rather than "Titanic [1997]", and they show a release date of 1998, even though the film itself was 1997.
vidman45 17th Jul 2015		Added the 1999 Wide Screen edition with a Tag for "Paramount Widescreen Collection". According to Wikipedia, this was the first DVD release of this film.
