 the four-authored screenplay (in italian) is based upon the robert sheckley story, "the seventh victim"; sfaiaa, no-one knows for certain why the required score/body-count was raised to ten.
the novel, "_the tenth victim_", based upon the screenplay, is by robert sheckley, who later wrote two companion novels to it, "_victim prime_" (methuen, london 1/87) & "_hunter/victim_" (methuen, london 5/88).
