One of a series of East German interpretations of Hans Christian Anderson fairy tales.
Shown on UK television in the 60s along with (among others) The Singing Ringing Tree (1957) & The Golden Goose (orig name Die Goldene Gans) (1964).

These films were narrated and/or dubbed in English.
