 Have to agree with you on that one. Westerns are not my favourite genre but this movie is superb. All the actors were well picked for the roles. I thought Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday was amazing. It still makes it's way to my DVD player every now and then.

 Kurt Russell puts his heart and soul into this, and it shows.
Not surprising as Wyatt Earp is his idol (to the point of calling his son Wyatt), so to get to play his idol in a movie must have been a dream come true.

The movie itself had me hooked from the start and held me for the 2 hours or so.
I'm not usually a western fan but this film blew me away.
