Twistin 29th Nov 2022 | | DVDThe Randolph Scott Round-Up - 6 Classic Westerns (2016) | Another USA release.

Twistin 29th Nov 2022 | | DVDKurt Russell: 4-Movie Collection - Walt Disney (2012) | I own this USA release and there is absolutely no difference in any way to this release. Appears to be yet another case of the USA release simply being sold in Canada, but should not be listed as a unique Canada release.

Twistin 29th Nov 2022 | | DVDThe Randolph Scott Round-Up - 6 Classic Westerns (2015) | Again, this just looks like the USA release with no difference in sight. It may have been sold in Canada, but I see nothing to indicate this being a unique Canadian issue.

Twistin 29th Nov 2022 | | DVDClassic Westerns - 10 Movie Collection (2014) | This is just the USA release with a Canada rating sticker on the back, right?

Twistin 2nd Nov 2022 | | DVDThe Green Slime - [none] | Pretty much has to be a bootleg; Warner owns the rights and are not known to license their catalog. No distributor, no bar code, DVD-R...certainly a boot.

Twistin 26th Sep 2022 | | DVDWe Are Marshall - Warner Home Video (2007) | Why do people keep putting the date for a film's theatrical release in the Date field? That is for the release date of the media (in this case, the DVD.) The DVD was released Sep. 18, 2007 -- not 2006.

Twistin 28th Jun 2022 | | DVDPink Floyd: The Wall - Sony BMG Music Entertainment (2005) | Amazon's dates are all over the road and are frequently incorrect.
|
Twistin 23rd Jun 2022 | | DVDPink Floyd: The Wall - Sony BMG Music Entertainment (2005) | There were no commercial DVDs released in 1982. The date field is for the release date of the DVD -- NOT the movie. The film's release date is already covered on the linked film to the Cinema World entry. This DVD was released in 2005.
Pink Floyd - The Wall DVD (on Blu-ray.com)
The dates (year) for DVDs, Blu-rays, etc. are typically noted on the packaging, but Blu-ray.com is the most reliable site for (most) full release dates for disc media.
EDIT: Fixed typo in link

Twistin 31st Aug 2021 | | DVDHuxley On Huxley - New Video (2010) | Rated 5/10Other than Peter Coyote's narration, the sound quality couldn't be worse. Significant audio cleanup of the archive footage and the Laura Huxley segments, which are mired via her heavy Italian accent, could have changed the entirety of this doc. The lack of subtitles means you lose the majority of the text. Further, there is no excuse for a DVD released in 2009 to present a widescreen film in a non-anamorphic display (meaning black borders on all four sides of the screen). Shot on video, it comes off more like a home movie than a serious documentary.
The DVD menus are also quite flat and uninspired. For bonus content, we have a number of extended interview segments, John Densmore has the longest one, as well as the most interesting to watch. There's also some trailers for other Docurama releases (Bob Dylan: Don't Look Back, Air Guitar Nation, A Crude Awakening, The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill).

Twistin 15th Feb 2020 | | DVD50-Movie All Stars Collection - Treeline Films (2004) | "These are all made-for-TV movies..."
While the majority of these films are made-for-TV, some are not. "Evel Knievel" is noted above in the listings as:
41. Evel Knievel (1971 made-for-TV movie)
This was a theatrical release from the Fanfare Corporation and was a popular drive-in hit in the southern USA states long before it ever appeared on television and was most certainly not made-for-TV.
Also, "Stunts" was a 1977 theatrical release from New Line Cinema.
