Live Music

Biography - Granny's    UK

A 'club' within a Club, Granny's seems to have only lasted between 2 and a half and 3 years from summer 1983 to the end of 1985.
Operating in The Tricorn Club (see seperate pages), Granny's gets it's own pages because it appears to be the only live music there for that period.
Originally opening in 1968 as a light entertainment venue with a resident band and several comedy shows, The Tricorn Club slowly turned into a progressive music over the next two years and continued until late 1984. There does seem to be a large break from '76 to '83. 'CROMAT' club night occured simultaneously from 15th Jan '71 to late '73.
During the live music break was when The Tricorn became GARBRIELLAS catering to the exploding disco market.

Live music returned here in Sep. '86 when Basins moved in, see their seperate pages.

The whole Tricorn Centre; car parks, shops, enclosed market, club was shut down in the 1990's and demolished in 2004.
