Biography - Queensway Hall [Civic Hall]

The building was built in 1964 and named "Dunstable Civic". Popular usage in early adverts etc renamed the venue "Civic Hall" and this was superseded by "Queensway Hall" which became official somewhere in the early to mid 1970's. Apparently the building was never a financial success and with various closures and reopenings in the 1980's was finally closed and demolished in May 2000.
