Biography - The Bayou USA The Bayou was a Washington, D.C. night club that hosted thousands of artists and bands over it's 46 year history. Located at 3135 K Street along the Georgetown waterfront, underneath the Whitehurst Freeway, was home to two previous establishments; The Hideaway, and The Pirate's Den. In September 1953, it was re-christened The Bayou by it's new owner's Mike Munley, and the Tramonte brothers. In the 1980s, they sold the club to Cellar Door Productions, who maintained ownership until it's closing on 31 December 1998 following a New Years Eve show. The extant structure was demolished shortly thereafter. « Back to Venue Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
