Biography - The Bull

The Bull pub on Hull's Beverley Road has a long and rich heritage of live music, though in recent years it has ceased functioning as a venue and is now a regular pub - it has a separate room upstairs which used to host regular gigs.
It is most notable for giving a residency back in the mid 70s to the band Ruby & The Takeaways - which featured among its number a young Wreckless Eric, then a student at Hull College Of Art.
EDIT: In 2016 the pub was placed under new management and is now hosting an open mic night and occasional live music.
FURTHER EDIT: as at March 2017 the pub has once again closed and has apparently been sold for development into residential apartments. A sad loss of a historic pub.
LAST EDIT: The Bull is indeed now converted into apartments and as a pub/venue is now gone.
