Biography - Tricorn Club UK Originally opening in 1968 as a light entertainment venue with a resident band and several comedy shows, The Tricorn Club slowly turned into a progressive music venue over the next two years and continued until late 1973. There does seem to be a large break from '76 to '83. 'CROMAT' club night occured simultaneously from 15th Jan '71 to late '73. During the live music break was when The Tricorn became GARBRIELLAS catering to the exploding disco market. Live music returned here in Sep. '83 under the guise of 'Granny's' for 2 years; and again Sep. '86 when 'Basins' moved in, see their seperate pages. The whole Tricorn Centre; car parks, shops, enclosed market, club was shut down in the 1990's and demolished in 2004. The site and Market Way were cleared for a new ground level NCP carpark, so the nearset correct address now would be Charlotte St; PLEASE AMEND. « Back to Venue Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
