Biography - Winter Gardens 
UK
A brick building first intended as an indoor bowling green it was opened in 1937. It was soon converted to use as a concert hall which had by chance excellent acoustics. A popular venue and the official home of The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. By the 1980's the venue which was run by the local council was badly in need of repair & investment, in 1999 the council offered it to private developers but no planning proposals were granted
It closed in 2002. Demolished in 2006.
At this date 2015 it is still a car park!
