Once Reginald Kenneth Dwight, the aritst known now as Elton John arrived in early 1968, (as 'The Beatles' had 8 years earlier), after five years of learning the hardknock r'n'r lifestyle from 1962 (aged just 15) playing hundreds gigs, from mid-'65 when they turned professional, with Bluesology, (as were The Beatles - under various names - until '62). Meeting Bernie Taupin in latter 1967 lead to Reg leaving his original band in March '68; though the group, Bluesology, carried on for move than six months before disdanding. That same month saw the first 'Elton John' single issued and Reg became 21. Five more singles and two acclaimed albums later the fully formed Elton Hercules John arrives by deed poll in 1972 and the rest is heavily documented history.
