This was the Final show at Finsbury Park.
Many major stars appeared on stage at Finsbury Park. In its final years, pop stars topped the bill, including Deep River Boys, Shirley Bassey, Alma Cogan, Michael Holliday, Marty Wilde, Cliff Richard & The Drifters.
The closed Finsbury Park Empire Theatre came back to life briefly in early-1961, when the British musical film starring Cliff Richard; "The Young Ones" had several important scenes filmed on location inside and outside the theatre.
