Message from Ed Blaney "It is with a heavy heart that I announce the end of our journey as Ultimate Bowie. After sixteen years of playing the “Starman”, touring the UK and abroad, and sharing countless unforgettable moments with all of you, I have made the difficult decision to hang up the costumes and wigs. It has been an incredible ride that began in 2005 with my appearance on Granada TV’s “Stars in their eyes”. An amazing experience which compelled me to find the right band of musicians to play such a brilliantly diverse back catalogue. A tall order indeed, however, in 2009 Ultimate Bowie began touring. We have played some of the finest theatres in the UK, also touring New Zealand with a group of wonderful people who are not only great performers but are true friends who have become our Bowie family. I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has supported us along the way. Thank you for your unwavering dedication, love, and encouragement. It has been an honour performing Bowie’s music for you, and we will always treasure the memories we have created together. While this may mark the end of Ultimate Bowie as you know it, I will continue to play gigs with my Bowie acoustic band. Focusing on the music without costume, wigs and makeup. Thank you once again for your love and support. We will forever be grateful for the memories we have shared with you, and we look forward to crossing paths with you again in the future".

djdan2010 7th Sep 2024		Live Music Eagles @ Co-op Live (2024)	Review I did not have high expectations for this concert having heard all the horror stories about the delayed opening of the Co-Op Live venue. But boy, were they shattered when we actually heard both bands playing live. I have seen many live concerts and this has to be in my Top 10 of all-time best. The visuals and sound were outstanding. It was like sitting in your living room in front of the biggest, highest quality screen with the best Surround Sound system in the world. Both bands were outstanding and even though I would have liked to have seen Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers were the perfect support act for the Eagles.
