GEMSMFAN 8th Mar 2016		Live Music Heart @ Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum (1990)	Heart announced during the concert, that this show was being taped for an upcoming "live" album. Unfortunately it wasn't used and instead their show on November 28, 1990, from The Centrum in Worcester, Massachuetts was also taped and became, "Rock The House Live!", released in 1991.

GEMSMFAN 16th Sep 2015		Live Music Gloria Estefan And Miami Sound Machine @ Minskoff Theatre (2015)	Review A great one-off concert and in a smaller venue, making every seat a "good seat". We had Gloria singing with the 2 "On Your Feet" leads, and daughter, Emily perform on keyboards with Gloria joining her, while Miami Sound Machine, took a breather. A classic show with older Miami Sound Machine hits. Gloria performed a track written for Jennifer Lopez. Emilio joined on timbalas,on the last songs performed. When I saw "Miami Sound Machine" got credit, I expected that Gloria had rounded up many of the original members, from the mid-80s, but it was the line up that included Jorge Casas (musical director/bass) and Clay Ostwald (assistant musical director/piano and keyboards). GEMSMFAN 30th Apr 2015		Live Music Stryper @ Nassau Community College (1985)	A very odd match... Stryper in 1985 was a Christian metal band, who would throw miniature Bibles into the crowd. Hitman was a local indie secular metal band. The audience was a mixed crowd. The concert was General Admission (no seating) and held at the college community center. The added image, ticket stub shows very little info. Unfortunately.. early on ushers/ticket takers were very sloppy at separating tickets and would tear more than they were supposed to. Now you or ushers scan tickets, keeping the whole ticket intact.

GEMSMFAN 5th Apr 2015		Live Music Elton John @ Madison Square Garden (1982)	Possibly the best concert for me. It was the very first concert I went to and Elton John and Quarterflash were favorites of mine. Elton John still did his show with all the wacky costume changes!
GEMSMFAN 31st Mar 2015		Live Music Bjorn Again @ The Vanderbilt (1999)	held at a large dance club on Long Island (now closed as a club and currently the Racing Palace for Nassau OTB). this was great and cameras were allowed. I went to the gas station next door and bought a cheap disposable camera with flash and took photos, most of which came out quite good being that I was near the stage.

(shortened on the ticket)... formerly the Brendon Byrne Arena, currently the Izod Centre never saw Bruce 'live', but I've heard his shows are long and well worth a the price of admission. living in NY, tix aren't that easy to get for someone's hometown that is NJ. speaking of which.. tix have become harder to get and they're also quite expensive, especially if you can get a ticket with a decent view.
