nboldock 27th May 2018		Live Music Kingmaker 4AD @ The New Adelphi (2018)	This was a superb gig. Kingmaker 4AD (also sometimes billed as Kingmaker For A Day) are John Andrew and Myles Howell of the original Kingmaker line up, plus "new" members Mike Wright and Matt Edible (both guitars/vocals).

nboldock 17th Aug 2017		Live Music Nuclear Assault @ St David's Hall (1988)	Just spotted this gig on here. I assume Acid Rain should be Acid Reign? Acid Reign posted on Facebook yesterday about a gig in December 1988 which they say was "the first time we met Re-Animator" (they would be instrumental in the latter band getting a record deal with Music For Nations) - but this gig is earlier than that so is the date wrong, is it not Acid Reign, or is the line up wrong? (Or have Acid Reign got it wrong themselves?)

Great opening set from BDM (one of the best Hull bands around at the moment) and then a superb set from the Mary Chain, over an hour and a half, two encores taking in six more tracks, and tonnes of classics... April Skies, Blues From A Gun, Some Candy Talking, Taste Of Honey, Far Gone And Out, Reverence... my ears are ringing today, mind. Top notch. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
