biffbampow 28th Mar 2015		Ah... we all make mistakes like that Beatles one! End up skipping a gig for some other reason then regret it later! What you did and have saved is bloody invaluable - like myself, it's natural one wishes one could had saved more stuff, but finances etc make that an impossibility. I know for instance some gig posters and flyers I did save sadly ended up getting lost thanks to flood damage which annoys me, but at least I still have about 90% of the collection intact.



kab2112 SUBS ● 28th Mar 2015		I've asked mods to change the year to 1970. With regard to seeing lots of great acts, I saw many "beat" bands in the 1960's but can't remember the venue of most of them or the year. Similarly in the 1970's I went to loads of shows and didn't buy programmes or keep the tickets - sorry now. I saw Wishbone Ash on every UK tour in the 1970's, also John Miles who was superb live and very underrated. I have to confess that I also gave up going to see the Beatles in Llandudno in 1963 to go on a date (what a plonker)



biffbampow 28th Mar 2015		1970 is definitely much more likely. Blue Mink's first record came out in October 1969. Jimmy Ruffin was also doing well in 1970, so for Blue Mink to be second on the bill would only happen after a big hit or two, so it has to be 1970 at the earliest... their second hit was released in March 1970. BTW Kab2112 - you sure got to see a lot of great acts over the years judging from the entries and memorabilia you've added so far! I'm envious... the curse of being born in 1972! lol!
