Music Festival
Notes This was the first day of the 4 day IOW Festival. Due to very heavy rain and traffic chaos there was huge disruption and Stackridge had to CANCEL their appearance despite making it to the festival! Here is the explanation form the Stackridge website: " We arrived by ferry from Southampton with, under normal circumstances plenty of time to drive to the festival site. Unfortunately we were met with complete chaos , the whole island was gridlocked , nothing was moving. It took us 4 hours to travel 6 miles ! We finally got on site but had to fight through a sea of mud and came up against staff who just did not seem to know what was happening - we were misdirected twice to the wrong areas ! Although an attempt was made to get us on an alternative stage this proved impossible. We had so looked forward to this gig - the last for the Spring season 2012 but it was not to be - we struggled back home tired, wet, cold & hungry. Maybe next year - who knows ???"
