Following 4 gigs in 1969, two more performances were made by Stackridge Lemon in early1970 (this was the first of the two) even though they had by now dropped the Lemon from their name and had begun gigging as Stackridge

chrisb 1st Feb 2022		Stackridge Lemon comprised: Andy Davis, James Walter, Bob Thompson, Billy Bent, plus "on occasions Mutter & Dave". Early songs that would have featured that continued into the later Stackridge repertoire were Syracuse The Elephant and Slark. (With thanks to Ed Newsom at The Granary facebook page.). James Warren joined the band in early 1970 and at some point Bob Thompson left, and ‘Mutter’ Slater joined. Then, just as they dropped the Lemon moniker, violinist Mike Evans joined the band. Stackridge (Mk 1) was complete.
