Big festival planned for 19, or more likely 36 hours.
About 18 acts original set and 9 more possibly including Country Joe McDonald. Organisers expected perhaps less than 10,000, but 30,000 overran security.
One report says expect takings plummeted, messages announced acts could not be paid and would not play resulting in a riot and the stage being burnt down, after only 3 acts played. Another report says all acts, rather just a few I think, were paid.
The only ones to perform were Joan Baez, Country Joe and Rare Bird; probably not in that order.
