I did not attend this festival, but here's a <<< LINK >>> to it.

I did attend a gig, I'm guessing February 1967 (actually early April 1967) at The Roundhouse, Camden, where two of the acts who were at the festival above appeared.

I went with my good friend Lou Austin, (who went on to become a Recording Engineer and Producer),because we wanted to see Pink Floyd live, and they played live at The Roundhouse, supported by The Flies, who pulled the same stunt with the paper bags with flower in, thrown at the audience that they apparently did to the audience at Alexandra Palace.

I have searched the web, but as yet can find no evidence of the gig at The Roundhouse, where Syid Barrett (1946-2006) appeared with 'the Floyd'......memorable.

Can any members help with info. on this 1967 gig...?

I wrote a comment on 25th Jan 2014 at The Flies - "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone", reproduced here, where I now know the gig was early April 1967, not February as stated above.

QUOTE - "From their biog. on this site "The group returned to the Roundhouse in early April 1967 and as part of their act threw small bags filled with flour and small rips in them into the audience where they exploded. They also used the flour bomb antics at the 14-hour Technicolour Dream event at Alexandra Palace in London on April 29 1967."

I was at that early April 1967 gig at The Roundhouse, a former railway engine shed, where locomotives were stored radially, until closed and then subsequently used for other purposes before being used for live performance from 1964, and the place was a mess.
The Flies were competent enough, and performed "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone" and other songs which I do not recall, as I was not a fan. I went to The Roundhouse on that date to see Pink Floyd, and The Flies were the support act.

Their little wheeze with the bags of flour was funny enough, and I and my pal got some flour on us, but no big deal. The outcome of the flour throwing was that the crowd, who were standing, started shifting position as the small bags of flour were lobbed from the stage, pushing and shoving each other to get out of the way, and a few girls got shoved over onto their bottoms, which wasn't nice, as the floor of the arena resembled a building site, with dust and dirt strewn around.

We duly saw Pink Floyd, of course with Syd Barrett, wonderful. Those crazy 1960s.....
