JPGR&B SUBS 24th Feb 2015		The first time I have seen Rumer live and she was great tonight at The Barbican - a concert venue I had not been to before although I did go to the James Bond exhibition there a few years ago. Rumer (real name Sarah Joyce) has a fantastic voice, often compared with Karen Carpenter, and her performance tonight, with her band, lived up to expectations from her three albums. At the concert was available a 17-track CD entitled B Sides & Rarities which was available commercially from 10 February 2015. Support band The Golden Retrievers are a five-piece band led by the keyboard player (whose 8 year old daughter he told us was in the audience). They have an EP CD out on which Rumer sings. Their music is in the same vein as Rumer (but not as polished!).
