Information from the bands manager, Mike Tobin: This was an ill fated attempt to hold a free festival on the Downs in Clifton. The eccentric owner of the Bristol Observatory allowed us to run the PA / Amps etc from his supply in his cafe . Needless to say the Police closed it down in about 30 minutes & dispersed the gathering crowd . It was 1970 but I can't recall time of year.
