 Around 300 in the audience. Fist gig of the new look Stackridge following the departure of drummer Billy Sparkle and frontman Mutter Slater after the recording of the yet to be released (George Martin produced) The Man In The Bowler Hat LP. Guitarist/keyboard wizz Andy Davis switches to drums for this tour.
Several new songs enter the set, several (but not all) will appear on their next album(s)- Every Living Hole, Pinafore Days, God Speed The Plough, Road To Venezuela, Spin(ning) Round The Room, Dangerous Bacon, The Volunteer, Humiliation, Purple Spaceships, The Laughing Policeman (!), February In Shropshire.

In a press interview in January 1974 'Crun' Walter says the prevailing mood of the new line up and repertoire is drifting towards an "emphasis on musical extravaganza rather than Vaudeville tomfoolery."
NB Mutter will rejoin the band around six months later.
