Dave Hargreaves 29th Apr 2019		Review Alan, I remember that about CdeB breaking a string. This gig and at least one other a few months before it was part of A & M records' promotion routine for their UK roster and Chris had just been signed up. My recollection was that initially Gallagher and Lyle were their Numero Uno band and they had put on a gig in town when Supertramp were just joining the label and we all wondered WTF are this lot ? . But within months, Supertramp had overtaken G&L and at the next A&M gig in town ie. THIS ONE...Supertramp were top of the bill. 6 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?



Alan Sandiford 22nd Sep 2017		I remember going to this gig with my wife and a couple of pals. Must have been one of Chris de Burgh's first tours. He was very nervous. Did some Beatles covers and broke a guitar string, which only made him more nervous! Poor sod, we actually felt sorry for him. If only we'd known what was to come! Gallagher & Lyle were ok but most of us just went to see Supertramp who were brilliant, as they always were in Manchester. Happy days.
