Two shows 6.45 and 9.00 p.m.
The start of the Beach Boys third visit to Europe got off to a poor start. Carl Wilson did not arrive with the band, as he was appearing in Court charged with draft evasion. He pleaded innocent and was granted bail which allowed him to travel to Dublin in a private chartered jet, only arriving in time to appear with the band midway through the second show. The remaining four band members did their best, but without Carl, fans booed and chanted 'We want Carl'. Several demanded their money back. The music press were not impressed.

Still dressed in his travelling clothes, Carl tuned up and joined in as the band played "Surfer Girl".
