2 p.m. show. The Beach Boys appearance is to collect the award of 'World's Top Vocal Group' having beaten The Beatles. But even this important milestone cannot make up for the poor morale in the band, with the critics giving poor reviews of their live performances, their 'square' stage clothing, Carl's pending draft case (to be heard in June), their disappointment of the record company release of the dated sounding ' Then I Kissed Her ' and the likely non appearance of the highly anticipated Smile recordings.
