Notes

Afternoon performance for 150 nurses and patients in the nursing home. With Jimmy Saville, the concert was filmed by the BBC for Top Of The Pops. Played for one and a half hours, apparently around one microphone with three acoustic guitars and drumming a packing case. Went on to play two shows in Manchester in the evening.

chrisb 8th Jan 2018		Surely one of the most unusual Beach Boys gigs ever (some pictures now added) Venue: King Edwards Nurses Home at the Leeds General Infirmary. And the photos, contrary to the information I put in the notes, show a couple of microphones and Carl Wilson with an electric guitar. But it still looks like a decidedly lo-fi event, performing at one end of the room.
