Notes

Jim Gretty was a Country & Western guitar player and a variety agent. He also worked part time at Hessy's music store in Liverpool and it was Jim who sold John Lennon his first guitar in 1957. Although the Beatles appeared half way down the advertised bill, they actually closed this show with a ten minute spot for this afternoon matinee.

TopPopper 19th Apr 2015		Apparently he was an ambulance driver by day. The Beatles were booked here for no fee, and according to Mark Lewisohn, were "awful".
kab2112 SUBS ● 19th Apr 2015		George Martin was responsible for the production and stage management at this event. Obviously not THE George Martin, but an interesting co-incidence.
