For one night only! The Cavern Beatles, tribute band played to an almost packed house. Audience clapped politely after every number, there was no screaming and the band could be heard clearly, visually too as this theatre was designed so that a clear view of the stage can be obtained no matter where one is seated. The band ran through the Beatle catalogue starting at the beginning, Please Please Me, etc and ending with Hey Jude, running through the catalogue in roughly the order of release. Not too sure if they were actually playing or whether they sang to backing tapes. Entertaining, especially for younger members of the audience as it gave them a flavour of what it was like in the 60s although if it was the actual Beatles playing it would not be possible to hear anything but the screaming.
