Joseph Johnson 18th Dec 2020		The Green Gorilla in Des Plaines, USA was on Jefferson Street in a former church building. This was behind the Des Plaines theatre across the street from the theatres parking lot and slightly to the east. A few lots down. I do not know what church it was. But it was closed by 1965. A Vet hall later maybe. Anyways a group of teachers bought it and for a few years ran it as a rock concert hall. It had a lot of famous people playing it. In the end it was not making money so closed. The building fell into disrepair and was fixed up in the 1990's as a lawyers office. Sadly the building is gone now too. The Cellar in Arlington Heights, Illinois was this dance club's main competition.
