| saladdays 27th Sep 2022 | The correct lineup was Comfortable Chair opening, followed by Spirit, then The Grateful Dead, and Country Joe and the Fish headlining. This was my first Dead concert and I was standing at the front of the stage directly in front of Jerry Garcia's shoes at eye level. OMG, it was ear-piercingly loud! But so good! Great jams like on Live Dead. I saw them at least 5 times into the mid-70s following this concert (country phase), but none of them came even close to the satisfaction experienced this first time. Country Joe was good, too (only time I saw them). Spirit was mediocre that might (too stoned to perform?) | |
