Live Music
Notes During the Easter school holidays in April 1960, John Lennon and Paul McCartney headed south to stay for a few days with Paul's cousin Bett Robbins and her husband Mike (parents of Kate Robbins). Bett and Mike were the tenants of the Fox and Hounds pub in Caversham, Berkshire. John and Paul worked behind the bar during their stay, and in return for their work Mike Robbins allowed them to perform live on the Saturday night. Mike christened the duo the "Nerk Twins". The duo ended playing on Saturday 23 April and Sunday 24 April.
