 Nick Lowe (Kippington Lodge) was electrocuted onstage when he grabbed a mic at this gig. After a near death experience he had his heart restarted, went to hospital by ambulance, had his burnt hands treated and returned to the club to play the band’s second set. Full details in Will Birch’s biography of Nick, ‘Cruel To Be Kind’.
