I've just added an image of the full page advert for The Wigan Casino that appeared in this magazine, which ties in with the discussion we are having about Steve Karmen's "Breakaway" on United Artists UP 35770 over at 45Cat.
I had practically every copy posted thus far by RogerFoster, and gave them all away, best guess about 1983.
Recently, I found around three copies, and this issue was one of them......
I got married the very same week of this issue, and then was away on honeymoon.....maybe I took the copy away, to while away some of my time.....
Includes articles about Doris Duke, The Mighty Clouds Of Joy, Rare Earth, Curtis Mayfield and Parliament/Funkadelic, plus Ron Tabor writes about The Blues, Kwame Braithwaite writes from New York about Marvin Gaye, Chris Lane writes on The UK Reggae Scene, Frank Elson checks out The North and reader G.I. Parkinson writes about his idea of Soul.
New UK 45s reviewed include Little Beaver - "Party Down" and "The Devil Made Me Do It" by Robert Upchurch.
