Magazine
Notes The first run of Crawdaddy started Feb. 7 '66 and lasted until October '68. It was the vision of Paul WiIliams to review all varieties of music popular and non-popular forms, regardless of record sales or chart success. He wanted to give his personal assessment and critique of his faves or ones which did not catch his ear. It was an honest appraisal of 45s and albums which were up and coming or had not achieved success yet. Initially it was supposed to be a Bi-weekly mag but financing and getting it off the ground was a bit problematic in any business venture of this type. The first couple of issues were initially done on a typewriter and stapled together by hand. After the initial struggles of getting off the ground, it became for the most part a monthly issue, occasionally missing the odd month until its' demise in Oct. '68. Only to be resurrected again in Dec. '71 Comments and Reviews
