On the Cover:
This bright red wedge plow is typical of many which saw service throughout New England on large and small roads, often castoffs from the Boston & Maine. Hal Carstes snapped this one at Steamtown, USA near Bellows Falls, Vermont, in Oct. 1968. Bringing up the rear is a giant Reading 2100.
