"This month we feature another prize winner in The Santa Fe Magazine's cover contest. The photo, with Canadian, Tex., as its locale, was submitted by Homer Tepe, brakeman on the Plains Division , and shows Operator Earl Johnson passing up a hoop to the crew of Santa Fe Train No. 106 as it roars by the station. The shot was taken with a Super D 4 x 5 Graflex at 800th of a second."
