Graham7 26th Mar 2018		Magazine NME (2018)	Sorry, I didn't pick up the last issue for inclusion here (due to snow), maybe someone here did, but it seems unlikely, as practically all of the freesheet issues we have were added by me. I only bothered picking up the few I did just to add here, there was rarely much of interest inside to read. I used to get them from outside HMV (I rarely went in), on my way to my local cheap 2nd hand record shop, I actually showed this copy to the owner, commenting "have you seen the state of the NME these days?", his reply was "waste of paper, why do they bother". This conversation took place on 7th March at 2pm, half an hour before it was reported on the 45cat RIP Forum. We both reminisced on this during my visit this week, the box outside HMV lies empty.

Graham7 9th Dec 2017		Magazine Meccano Magazine (1951)	This is perhaps the most atypical Meccano Magazine cover I've seen, to date. With no apparent relation to any article inside, one wonders what they were thinking.

Graham7 5th Dec 2017		Magazine Meccano Magazine (1955)	Cover features the Maryland Holly that was first illuminated by The Baltimore & Ohio railroad 1947 (-1971,sporadically thereafter by volunteers). Added Editorial: A World-wide Christmas Greeting from Frank Riley, and advert for some Meccano model leaflets. See Cecil County blog for more on the tree, including news that there was an LP released of the lighting ceremony in 1954.

(For this issue, also added Editorial for explanation of price rise) Am cataloguing my Dad's (and uncle's) collection, which covers (with a few gaps) June 1949-April 1960. Sorry for flooding 45Worlds homepage, it'll all be over soon. And some of the covers are detached and a bit tatty i'll warn ye in advance,

Graham7 20th Aug 2016		Magazine New Musical Express (1973)	I guess this headline refers to the last Ziggy Stardust show at Hammersmith Odeon, 3 July 1973, as he announced "Not only is this the last show of the tour, but it's the last show we'll ever do". [YouTube Video]
Graham7 19th Apr 2016		Magazine ComputerActive (2003)	Not surprised I kept this mag, considering the cover story, and it did prove useful at the time. . What I now find more interesting is the competition to win a 1GB USB stick worth £350. You can now buy one for about £2.
Graham7 9th Nov 2015		Magazine Private Eye (1971)	ppint, ta muchly for reminding me about the bundle of early 70's Eyes I bought - I had uploaded some, then put them away, I will now continue. I've added images for this and Nos. 261 and 262. I have added #263, and have 264,269, 266, 269-71, 274-6, 278, 281-3, 293-6, and a further 25 between 300-347 (but not #328/238). Also added scan of the notice about Christmas Record. And a page of adverts, including one for Yoko Ono's Fly
Graham7 9th Jun 2015		Magazine Greyfriar (1961)	This is a literary magazine of Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey. First published in 1884, still existed as an online edition in 2013 (facebook). The official school magazine is The Carthusian. Cover illustrates the Greyfriar Survey of "writing on desks". In a second survey. we find that Brigitte Bardot is the school's most popular pin-up (137 pictures seen) followed by Elvis Presley (39) and Mylène Demongeot (24) (who I had to look up - see Fick issue 33 or movie L'Appartement Des Filles )

Graham7 18th Apr 2015		Magazine ZigZag (1973)	I've changed it to 1973 (definitely not 1967), but it doesn't fit quite right with what we've got so far. The Volume No./ Issue No. is applied to some entries, if we just kept the issue# (in big print on (most) cover)s, it would be easier to sort? But, given the mag'z title, I would expect some inconsistencies.. I found five 1977-81 copies today (all added) while looking through boxes for something else, the original target of my search now forgot. Such is life in 45 worlds...

Hope this looks OK. Nice that it can then be linked to the other Worlds' Abba pages, we're just waiting for a Live Music event to be added, to make the full set of format links.
Graham7 22nd Mar 2015		Magazine Smell My Wooly Mammoth	Tricky to date, 1985 would be my guess. The Membranes, Ted Chippington and The Beatles feature. Published in Droitwich. Not much on web - One other issue can be seen here. And from John Robb email interview 20/7/08- "The Healey brothers did something called Smell My Wooly Mammoth which was pretty much like Vic Reeves humour years before he started, it reduced me to tears of laughter..."

Graham7 10th Jan 2015		Magazine Q (2002)	I've changed the title of this submission to Q, and have disabled the Bjork page from appearing in the bibliography and comments views, but it does still display on the item page. Hopefully someone can then be prompted to add the proper front cover.
Graham7 7th Jan 2015		Magazine Q (2002)	You're right about this. I've just fished out my box of Q and one of the last issues I bought (Q-190 May 2002) has the Q Review section starting on page 102 (cover star Paul Weller, Oasis on the proper front cover). So the image here should be moved to Q Feb 2002, which has not yet been entered on the database. The Glastonbury Q Review is a standalone item, going on sale within days, if not on the Monday morning itself. I'll fire up the scanner and try and get some more Qs added.
Graham7 7th Jan 2015		Magazine G2 (2011)	We do have a category for Newspaper Supplements. I don't see why they should go. And just look at that list of Bjork covers (linked below), an astonishing 490 so far !
