This magazine is about music, movies and books. Indeed with a Christian background in most of the cases (90%) but since it has 3 different media in it, it's the question to put it under music, general, religion, or others
This magazine was a kind of entertainment magazine for the Dutch soldiers, expecting that the Netherland's neutrality would be respected by Hitler, as was done during World War I. However, the last issue came out on May 4th, 1945. The tenth of May, Hitler's armies invaded the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France. It was the end of the magazine which saw 25 issues.
It is indeed a magazine from iceland, like a weekly/monthly that says what's going on in the capital. But if you took this picture from the net instead of scanning it yourself, that's not quite the thing to do here.....
Articles about Classic Cars, British Motors, Community for Historical Fire Brigades and Material, Self made trains, Collection Brand Beer, Vinyl Albums and singles, Agenda, Kreidler Motorcycles, Plumbers tools, Lace, Simon and his postcards, Historic cooking
Articles about Historical Interiors, Cabinet makers, Family Business The Ruiter, My favourite Item, Auction House Ald Fryslan, Ironing Museum, Rosebud, Agenda, Paulus de Boskabouter, Blotters, 7 inch discs with commercials, Silver Miniatures, Historic Cooking
Though it says "New Year's Issue" and even 1922, it is still November 1921 when this number is issued. First page inside says it all: "Actually, it's not that far yet. But a short time and then the old year is gone, and before 1922 arrives......"
It's more to give people a chance to use the special cabaret song written for the new year's eve, published in the heart of the magazine.
The photographer named this photo 'the lonely gentleman' but I wonder, he could have given it much better titles. The photo was taken in front of the St. Bavo Cathedral in Haarlem in wintertime
