tiggerhans 7th Dec 2016		Magazine De Wacht (1940)	This magazine was a kind of entertainment magazine for the Dutch soldiers, expecting that the Netherland's neutrality would be respected by Hitler, as was done during World War I. However, the last issue came out on May 4th, 1945. The tenth of May, Hitler's armies invaded the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France. It was the end of the magazine which saw 25 issues.

First page inside says it all: "Actually, it's not that far yet. But a short time and then the old year is gone, and before 1922 arrives......" It's more to give people a chance to use the special cabaret song written for the new year's eve, published in the heart of the magazine.
